2015 Dufour 500 Grand Large

This beautiful Defour 500 Grand Large is very well designed for cruising, with good performance when you decide to race.  Perfect boat for the Neptune Regatta Cruising Class.

There are plenty of useful features built into the design and the quality of finish is excellent.  The internal space is large, light and comfortable.  The navigation desk can be altered into many different configurations depending on preference.  Storage compartments are well designed with various types and sizes of containers in mind.  Items like the retractable bow sprit and the anchor roller fold away when not needed to give a tidy appearance (as well as reducing overall length of the boat while at the marina).  The transom folds down and converts into a nice low swim platform for easy access to the water when at anchor.

Plenty of factory upgrades were also included with a larger 6400W Fischer Panda Inverter, 1.4m taller mast giving and additional 14.7m2 of sail area, larger anchor and chain, etc.  She is pre-rigged for the asymmetrical spinnaker/Code 0 with the extendable bowsprit installed (just need to buy the sail and furler etc).

The current owner has done plenty of upgrades including a massive cockpit bimini in 2016.  New additions in July 2018 include 2x 250w solar panels on top of the bimini, new house and bow thruster batteries, engine service, liferaft and safety equipment service and updated bow thruster firmware.  A new Genoa was fitted in December 2017.
