An inviting space awaits below, just through the acrylic cabin door with screen. The V278's cabin is both inviting and practical, outfitted with vinyl seat cushions and back rests, and accented with fabric sidewall liner. A forward dinette boasts a woodgrain table for meals, and also converts easily to a spacious berth. Catch the morning news or a movie with an optional flatscreen television and DVD player. The galley houses a sink with ample polished granite-style counter surface, a refrigerator, microwave and a concealed trash receptacle situated in attractive and efficient woodgrain cabinets. Boaters can choose from three interior fabric packages: Ocean Sand, Gulf Stream Blue, and Harmony Black. The head and shower area, provide the comforts of home on the water. With a porcelain head and shower with plenty of hot water, the essentials are simple. A sink and vanity, along with a medicine storage area, mirror, towel rack, and overhead lighting make the space perfectly efficient. Ventilation is no problem with the screened portlite and power ventilation fan. The mid cabin provides a spacious sleeping area, plus storage for hanging items and overhead and sidewall cabinets. A screened window is also built in for excellent ventilation. The wide-opening berth accessway is equipped with a curtain for privacy. A CO monitor is standard for added safety, as well as a gas vapor detector; a fire extinguishing system is an optional safety feature. For those who plan to travel far and wide, air conditioning/heating is an option, along with a generator.

The helm features an iPod/MP3 port and 12 VDC receptacle, making it easy to enjoy a music collection or charge a cell phone. There is an additional port inside the cabin for added convenience. The V278?s helm also boasts a depth sounder with shallow water alarm, and plenty of space for additional navigational equipment. It is now easier to see what is ahead in the evening with a remote spotlight. Trim tabs are included, and at service time, the engine hatch has electric assisted lifts.

Above board, a color-matched canvas camper system is included, and converts the deck to a fully sheltered entertainment area or even more extra sleeping accomodations. An option is the hinging stainless steel arch, ideal for traveling in low clearance areas and great for simple maintenance. The rub rail features a unique and durable design of rigid white vinyl with a stainless steel insert. There is an optional Maxwell 500 Series windlass.

On the V278 every inch of space is maximized, complete with a refreshment center featuring countertops, sink with pressurized water, and storage for a 36-quart removable cooler,. An electrical outlet is also available at the refreshment center. The driver will feel right at home at the dual adjustable helm seat with flip-up bolsters and tilt steering wheel; passengers will enjoy the U-shaped stern seating ideal for friendly conversation around a removable cockpit table. Of course, seats feature Aquaflex vinyl, tops in marine-grade upholstery. Polished bezels highlight a comprehensive series of Faria gauges, tachometer with hour meter and a compass to guide the way. The lenses in these gauges are specially coated to resist fogging and condensation. And, for utmost safety precautions, a gas vapor detector is now standard. To protect the dash when not in use, Four Winns now provides a canvas dash cover. The V278 is fun on the water, and also perfect for fun in the water. An aft integrated swim platform is spacious for sunbathing or swimming, plus it can be transformed to a virtual recreation center with several newly designed options. Using a center rail mounting system, a table, grill, fishing rod holders, and a tube rack can be quickly attached. Four Winns includes its signature angled, deep-reach hidden ladder with wide step pads for the swimmer’s comfort. Showcase patriotic spirit with the new flag pole and holder option. And, for an added luxurious touch, Flexiteek flooring is an option for an easy-to-clean and slip-resistant swim platform surface. In the evenings, the V278’s optional under swim platform lighting creates a beautiful atmosphere, filling the surrounding water with a luminous glow.
